Canadian Forensic Nurses Association- Visionary Award

**NEXT ONE AWARDED IN 2024**

This award will recognize an individual who has made a significant contribution to development, promotion and advancement of forensic nursing in Canada. The contribution may be made through clinical program development, scientific achievement, educational activities and advocacy on behalf of Canadian forensic nurses. 

Criteria:

• The person nominating must be a member of CFNA

• The nominee has demonstrated innovative and creative methods to promote and enhance forensic nursing in Canada

• The nominee has demonstrated a commitment to the development of the profession of forensic nursing in Canada

• The nominee has demonstrated leadership at the local, provincial, national and/or international level in the promotion and development of forensic nursing

• The nominee has worked to develop standards of practice for the care of victims and or offenders of violence

Award:

The award will be given to the chosen individual in the fall corresponding with the International Association of Forensic Nursing conference/CFNA conference and will consist of a one-year paid membership to the CFNA, a plaque and certificate.

Committee members will be involved in selecting the winner of CFNA's most prestigious award!
